5/1 – Happy May Day!  We have a plethora of activities planned across our campus today.  Our Garden Court residents will be doing some May Day trivia this morning and they’ll be visited by some fuzzy friends from the Pawprint Ministries at 3:30pm!  Our Hawthorne Inn residents are taking a trip to IGA this afternoon, so if you see our bus be sure to wave hello!  Our Manor Court residents are doing a May Day craft at 11 am and then passing out some May Day gift baskets to the staff! 5/1 – Come see Liberty Village of Clinton and Liberty Village of Leroy at the Be Content Senior Expo in Bloomington at the Parke Regency convention center today!  Nick and Amy will be there from 9 am to 2 pm.  Come out and say hello! 5/2 – Our Garden Court residents are taking a scenic drive today!  If you see our bus full of residents out and about taking in the sights, wave hello! 5/4 – At 10:00 this morning, our residents in Hawthorne Inn are having a Young at Heart activity!  If you are feeling Young at Heart today, feel free to come join them! 5/5 – Feliz dia del Cinco de Mayo!!  Vamos a tener una fiesta de churros!  At 10am join us in Manor Court activities for churros to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!  In the afternoon, our Garden Court residents will also be celebrating with a social! 5/7 – Join us for a musical afternoon at Liberty Village!  Our Manor Court residents are excited to welcome Glenna Hiett for a 2:00pm musical performance entitled “His Love Song”.  Then at 3:00, our very own Ron Devore will be serenading the residents of Garden Court.  We hope to see you for these special performances! 5/13 – HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!  We will be celebrating the mothers in our community with Mother’s Day tea at 10:30 in Manor Court and 11:00 in Garden Court.  Then at 2pm, our Hawthorne Inn residents will be listening to Rockin’ Ron perform! 5/14 – The McLean County Museum of History will be visiting our Manor Court residents today at 3pm.  They are bringing out some historical items to reminisce with our residents! 5/14 - Happy National Nursing Home Week!!!  Our Manor Court residents have a full week of special activities planned to celebrate our residents, staff and volunteers!  Today is Masquerade Day!  Our residents were inspired by a recent Millikin University production of Phantom of the Opera, so they will be watching the movie today in Manor Court and Garden Court and enjoying some popcorn while they masquerade!! 5/15 - Happy National Nursing Home Week!!!  Our Manor Court residents have a full week of special activities planned to celebrate our residents, staff and volunteers!  Today is Sports Day at Liberty Village!  We’ll be having a facility wide cookout for lunch today and you’ll see our staff wearing their favorite sports team’s shirt!  There will also be a lunchtime staff volleyball game happening in the courtyard, weather permitting. 5/16 - Happy National Nursing Home Week!!!  Our Manor Court residents have a full week of special activities planned to celebrate our residents, staff and volunteers!  We’re celebrating the ‘50s today!  Come see our staff and residents try and pull off that 1950s look, and enjoy a root beer float while you listen to (or sing!) some ‘50s karaoke at 3pm! 5/17 - Happy National Nursing Home Week!!!  Our Manor Court residents have a full week of special activities planned to celebrate our residents, staff and volunteers!  It’s Carnival Day!  We’ll be having lots of carnival games throughout the building, along with cotton candy, sno-cones, lemon shake-ups and popcorn!  Come out and enjoy the Liberty Village Carnival at 2pm! 5/17 – Our Hawthorne Inn residents are playing Pass the Pigs today at 3pm!  Come out and join them if you want to play along! 5/17 – Keep an eye out for our Marketing Car today as we deliver Peace Meals around Clinton today! 5/18 - Happy National Nursing Home Week!!!  Our Manor Court residents have a full week of special activities planned to celebrate our residents, staff and volunteers!  The theme for this year is Celebrating Life’s Stories.  Today, we will be having an exhibit of our residents’ stories.  We have asked our residents’ loved ones to help them create a board or display that tells their story.  This is a special opportunity to hear the stories of almost 1000 years of our residents’ lives.  We hope you will join them to hear their stories, come check it out any time today! 5/21 – Every Monday our residents in Hawthorne Inn have a Lunch Bunch outing to a restaurant somewhere in Central Illinois.  We wonder where they are headed this week?  If you see them on the Liberty Village bus, be sure to wave hello! 5/22 – Our Hawthorne Inn residents are headed out to Dollar General today!  If you see the Liberty Village bus, be sure to wave hello! 5/23 – Some of our residents are going to the Flower Corner today!  They’re acquiring some supplies for a Flower Craft tomorrow! 5/24 - Keep an eye out for our Marketing Car today as we deliver Peace Meals around Clinton today! 5/25 – Our Garden Court residents are having a Birthday Party at 3 today! 5/28 – Happy Memorial Day!  Our Manor Court residents are enjoying a variety of activities throughout the day.  We’re having hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch, a Memorial Day movie and popcorn at 2pm and an Ice Cream Social at 4pm!  Come celebrate the start of summer with us!
